Heidi Shortal Obituary
Haverstraw - Heidi Jane Shortal of Haverstraw passed away due to complications of Covid-19 on May 9, 2020. Heidi was born to Dennis and Cheryl Shortal on March 17, 1960. She dedicated her life to teaching Special Education in the North Rockland School District. Heidi loved rooting on the North Rockland Red Raiders football team. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She is survived by her mother Cheryl Shortal of West Haverstraw; sisters Lynn (Brad) Cravello, Jill (Michael) Cotier; her nephews and nieces Alison, Gregory, Ashley, Danielle and Ean; her great niece and nephew Luke and Reagan. She is predeceased by her father Dennis Shortal.
Due to current circumstances, all services will be held privately at Gethsemane Cemetery in Congers, NY. A memorial service will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heidi Shortal Scholarship Fund, 313 Highland Ave, Maybrook, NY 12543.

Remember the good times at the flying goose in stony point kn friday nights. Saturdays was north rockland football games no matter where they were playing and partying afterwards. Condolences to the family. RIP my friend.

Heidi was Sheryl and Denny's oldest daughter. Sheryl grew up with the So. Conger Ave. kids. She lived three houses up from ours. I am so sorry to Sheryl and Heidi's sisters. My deepest condolences to each of them at this heart breaking time.
