JOHN DOUGHERTY Obituary

DOUGHERTY, JOHN DANIEL, JR. John (Jack) Dougherty of Satsuma, Florida went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 25th at the age of 74. Jack was born in Palatka, Florida on August 14th,, 1930 to Zilla Kitchen Dougherty and John D. Dougherty Sr. At the age of 3 he moved with his family to Irvington, New York. He graduated from Irvington High School and Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. Jack enjoyed flying, was an avid boater and fisherman. He also served two years in the army. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Florence A. Warnock Dougherty, 3 children, John D. Dougherty III of Rockford, Il, Jeanne D. Hickox of Milner, GA, and William T. Dougherty of Barnesville, GA. 10 grandchildren, Melissa Dougherty, J.D. Dougherty Esquire, William T. Dougherty II, Bridgette Dougherty, Abbie Adele Dougherty, Brandon Caleb Dougherty, Logan Nicholas Dougherty, Benjamin Satterfield, Diahn Hickox Conte and Kimberly Jean Hickox Smith. 3 great grandchildren, Alyssa Conte, Isabella Conte and Austin Smith. He is also survived by 2 brothers, William Dougherty, of Ossining, New York and Willard Dougherty of Sea Cliff, New York and one sister Zilla May Stetson of Southbury, CT and 4 nieces and 5 nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13th at the Victory Christian Fellowship in San Mateo, Florida. To send a message of condolence, please write to Florence A.
