JOHN F. FRATTAROLA

John F. Frattarola, age 91, a resident of Port Chester died July 27, 2008. He was born April 11, 1917 in Port Chester to the late Luigi and Judith Lovalo Frattarola. He was raised and educated in Port Chester. He served in the United States Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater and was a sergeant. He received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Mr. Frattarola was married to Rose Siclare May 1940 in Port Chester. He was a retired police detective for the City of Rye Police Department. He served 22 years and retired in 1977. He was a parishioner of the Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester, past president of the Port Chester Old Timers Association, charter member of the Rye VFW, former member of the Rye Golf Club, and a member of the Rye PBA. Mr. Frattarola is survived by his wife Rose Frattarola of Port Chester, son Louis Frattarola of Ossining, NY, daughter Judith Karpinski of Port Chester, brothers Zopito Frattarola of Port Chester, and William Frattarola of Greenwich CT and sisters Lena McDonald of Port Chester, Elizabeth Cecio of Greenwich, CT, Flo Piro of Port Chester, grandchildren Patricia Hopkins and Michael Frattarola and great-grandchildren Maggie Frattarola, Christopher Hopkins and Allison Hopkins. Visitation will be 4 - 8 PM on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Corpus Christi Church, 136 South Regent St., Port Chester, NY. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY.
