JOSEPH DAPUZZO Obituary

Dapuzzo, Joseph P., age 77, of Patterson (Putnam Lake), NY, died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 in Danbury, CT. He was the husband of Carole A. CasselDapuzzo. Mr. Dapuzzo was born September 27, 1933 in Manhattan, NY to Salvatore and Anna (Landriana) Dapuzzo. He graduated from schools in Manhattan. Mr. Dapuzzo had served in the Army during the mid-1950's. After the serving in the Army, Mr. Dapuzzo spent 30 years as an elevator troubleshooter for the Staley Elevator Co. in downtown Manhattan. After retirement, for the past 20 years, he was the Code Compliance Officer for the Town of Patterson. He was a member of WRAM-Westchester Radio Areomodelers, the Patterson Republican Town Committee and the Putnam Lake/Patterson Republican Club. Mr. Dapuzzo spent his childhood summers with the family at his residence in Putnam Lake before moving there permanently 30 years ago from Staten Island. Besides his wife Carole, Mr. Dapuzzo is survived by his son Joseph Dapuzzo of Morganville, New Jersey, two daughters, Kathy Ann Nicoletti and Susan Mulligan, both of Staten Island, NY. A brother, James Dapuzzo of Flushing, NY and five grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Dapuzzo, Michael and Steven Nicoletti and Amanda Mulligan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Putnam Lake, NY. Interment following at Mt. View Cemetery, New Fairfield, CT. Friends may call at Dwyer Funeral Home, 23 South St., Patterson, NY on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 220 Route six, Mahopac, NY 10541.
