JOSEPH MALZO Obituary

Joseph Michael Malzo a resident of Jefferson Valley since the early 1980's, died on Thursday, August 27, 1999. He was 87. Mr. Malzo was a Vice President - Mortgage Officer for Union Labor Life Insurance Company in New York City for 43 years, before retiring in 1982. He was born on August 24, 1912 in Bronx, NY to Salvatore and Gioranni Citronella Miluzzo. On September 6, 1936 he married Antoinette (Nettie) Chiavelli at Saint Raymond's Church, Bronx, NY. Mr. Malzo was a 40 year life member and past president of Continental Village Volunteer Fire Department, past Chairman of the Planning Board of the Town of Cortlandt ; a member of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers (M.A.I.) and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers (S.R.E.A.). He was also a member of Saint Columbanus Church. He is survived by two sons, Joseph and daughter-in-law Barbara of Garrison, NY and Raymond of Newport Beach, CA; a brother, Bernard Miluzzo of Jackson, NJ; two sisters, Pauline Gentile of Crestwood, NY and Mary Vitolo of Jackson, NJ; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Antoinette, a daughter Janet (Malzo) Fury; and a brother, Salvatore Miluzzo. Calling hours are Sunday 7 to 9 pm and Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Joseph F. Nardone Funeral Home. Funeral Mass Tuesday, 10 AM at Saint Columbanus Church. Interment will follow at Asumption Cemetery. Contributions can be made to John J.
