JOSEPHINE VERSACE Obituary

Josephine Versace of Port Chester, NY died May 7, 2003 at Port Chester Nursing Home. She was 74. Mrs. Versace worked as a seamstress for Kay Chester in Port Chester. Josephine was born October 4, 1928 in Reggio Calabria, Italy, to Santo and Maria Lisi Versace. She was educated in Italy. On July 28, 1949, she married Frank Versace in Italy. Mrs. Versace lived in Port Chester for the past 43 years. Mrs. Versace will be remembered for her kindness, gentleness, and wonderful cooking. She is survived by her husband Frank, son Joseph Versace, and daughter Anne Manning, all of Port Chester, NY; sister Frances Versace of Dobbs Ferry, NY; granddaughter Jaimee Versace of Port Chester, NY. Family members who died earlier include her parents and brother, Joseph Cotroneo. Calling hours are Friday 5 to 9 PM at James J. Gunipero Funeral Home Inc. The Funeral is Saturday at 8:45 AM at Holy Rosary Church. Intombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Rye Brook, NY. JAMES J.
