Kenny was a one in a million man. He was generous, kind, empathetic and cheerful. Kenny served in Vietnam and was with the NYPD. The family he married into was my family's dearest friends and so Kenny became family.
He was a much loved husband, dad, son and friend. Look up "kindness" and a photo of Kenny could be the visual definition.
Rest in Peace and Love

My deepest heartfelt sympathies to the family.
Visitors to this page should please note that this is _not_ the same Ken Brennan who has been heavily profiled in the media for solving a murder case. Many people have the same name and the internet can be confusing. If in doubt, please ask someone to help you. YouTube (which often airs TV shows) and Twitter are places for you to post the question(s) you may have.

Im watching a tv show about how Det. Brennan solved a
nearly unsolvable case. I looked him up and saw his unfortunate death.
The world will miss him and his devotion. I can tell he was an exceptional man. Im so sorry he's no longer helping your family and the world. Betsy Eakman Aprtos California.

My belated heartfelt condolences to Delia, Lauren, and Joseph.
I was greatly saddened to learn of Kenny's passing and extremely disappointed in myself for not maintaining closer ties to Kenny in the years since we were NYPD Radio Car Partners.
In September of 1973, while an NYPD Academy Recruit, I befriended a fellow classmate, who, like me, grew up on the streets of the Bronx and marched off to a war in Viet Nam as mere teenagers in the late 1960's.
In the NYPD Academy, we took to each other immediately, largely because we always made each other laugh, even when we should not have been laughing. He made me laugh with his keen timely wit, so much so that he was often the cause for an Academy instructor ordering me to leave the classroom and report to The Lieutenant's Office.
Just days after Christmas in 1973, on the occasion of receiving orders assigning us [both] to the busiest Precinct in the Bronx, the 48 Precinct., we jumped for joy together at the news. Agreeing on that day to partner-up as soon as we were released from in the field training status.
For the next 7 years, we shared an NYPD Radio Car, walked adjacent foot posts together, conducted investigations together, transferring to 3 different precincts as a two-man team, patrolling the 48 Precinct, Mid-Town North and the 44 precincts, working around the clock all days of the week, including holidays.
Kenny and I were an effective crime fighting team, receiving dozens of Commendations. One Captain recognized our work and with less that 2 years in The Department, disappointing many senior cops, the Captain assigned us to The Precinct Detective Squad, detailing us to the Apprehension Team. Unfortunately, a few months later, on June 30th, 1975 the city laid off 5,200 cops, including Kenny and I. Ending our short stay in The Squad.
The City hired us back a few days later and we returned to Uniformed Patrol for 5 more dangerous years.
In the years we patrolled the streets together, I witnessed Ken Brennan, my partner: run to the sound of shots being fired, run into buildings on fire, remove guns from criminals without taking their lives, carry kids in his arms into Emergency Rooms demanding medical attention be immediately given, I watched him give Homeless people money for food and enter many a church to say a prayer.
Ken Brennan was a Cop to be emulated by all Police Officers today. I am proud to say he was my partner. And I know he is making them laugh up there.

Ken was a pleasure to do business with for over 30 years. We would spend 5 minutes on business and half hour talking about our families. Loved his family especially his granddaughter.
I will miss him.
My condolences,
