Kevin Keefe Obituary
AGE: 83 • Lee, MA and Larchmont, NY
Kevin B. Keefe of Larchmont, NY and Lee, MA, died suddenly while traveling in Ireland on May 25. He was 83 years old.
The husband of the late journalist Nancy Q. Keefe, Kevin was born in Westchester County, NY to Daniel Joseph Keefe and the former Anne O'Connell. He had six siblings, Daniel, Jack, William, Jill Long, David, and Louis. All, save William who died in infancy, survive him.
He married the former Nancy Quirk in 1959, and they enjoyed forty-five years together. Together they had three children, Brendan, Clare, and Maura. Kevin also leaves three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Helen Foster.
A memorial Mass will be held at Sts. John and Paul Church, Larchmont, NY, on Monday, June 26 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stockbridge, MA, on Tuesday, June 27 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: the ACLU, the Morgan Library, or the Trustees of Reservation.

Kevin's name just came to mind today so I searched his name and found this link. He was my supervisor at Equitable in NYC for many years. My condolences to his family and friends.

The last time I saw Kevin was at brother Dan's house about nine years ago when he pulled a book off the shelf and said: "Ed, read this". It was Stuart O'Nan's "The Names of the Dead" whose roster he now joins much too soon.

Kevin was on the Board of I Care an affordable housing program and was a stalwart like his wife Nancy in this cause to help the homeless and underserved, as the Director for some time, I could always depend on him to help or give some words of wisdom. Trish Doyle

Kevin was a friend for over 60 years starting with our days together at Manhattan College in the mid 1950's. I cherish his wisdom and sense of humor and share his love for a good glass of wine. He was always a positive influence on my life and I miss the time spent with he and Nancy over the years. God bless Kevin, fare winds and a following sea.
