Larry Batchie Obituary
Larry K. Batchie, a lifelong resident of Elmsford, died on May 20, 2013. He was 42. Mr. Batchie was born on February 3, 1971 in Landstuhl, Germany where his father was stationed. Larry was an ex-Captain and a life member of the Elmsford Fire Company #1 and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 135. He graduated from Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Alexander Hamilton High School and was employed in the automobile business. Larry was predeceased by his father, Pop, and is survived by his mother, the former Kathleen Gallagher, sister Kerry and brother Mark of Elmsford. He was a loved member of a large, extended family. His family would appreciate your donations to the Elmsford Fire Company #1 or the National Institutes of Health, ALPs Research Division. Reposing, Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Hawthorne Funeral Home. A funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday at 11 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Elmsford. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh, N.Y.

To Kathy and the Batchie family. We were very saddened to hear of Larry's passing. We have fond memories of Larry and his father and grand parents. Larry will always be remembered as a caring person who helped our son Robert when his home burned. His father and grandfather, who were both named Larry, and were both very caring people would be very proud of him. He will always be in our prayers.
