MATTHEW REIF Obituary

Matthew David Reif, 29, of Higley, Arizona, formerly of Cortlandt Manor, died suddenly on June 6, 2006 in an auto accident. Matthew was a graduate of Walter Panas High School where he played lacrosse and was an avid lover of all sports. After moving to Arizona he became a Heavy Equipment Operator and resided there for the last six years. Matthew is survived by his parents, Paul and Toby Reif of Gilbert, Arizona, formerly of Cortlandt Manor, NY. Sister and brother-inlaw, Michelle and Fabian Gonzalez and nephew Sebastian Gonzalez of Fishkill, NY. Uncle Freemont and aunt Marilyn Rief of Mohegan Lake, NY, uncle Arnold and aunt Nancy Reif of Sloatsburg, NY, and uncle Jay and aunt Beverly Schwartz of Yorktown Heights, NY, uncle Melvin and aunt Gloria Freed, Brooklyn, NY, and uncle Steven Freed, Brooklyn, NY. Cousins, Larry Reif, Steven Reif, Richard and Karen Reif, Susan Reif, Gina and Carl Weinberger, Gary and Marcia Schwartz, Brian and Ania Schwartz, and Michael and Hagit Schwartz, Ellen and George Landavar and Michael and Rosemarie Freed, Eric Freed. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 12 at 10:00 AM, at the First Hebrew Congregation of Peekskill,Route 6, Peekskill, NY. Burial immediately following at King David Cemetery, Mill Street, Putnam Valley, NY. Shiva calls will be accepted Monday and Tuesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at 39 Hampshire Road, Fishkill, NY.
