MICHAEL A. CESTONE

Michael A. Cestone, a lifelong resident of New Rochelle, passed away on April 6, 2000. Mr. Cestone was born on May 18, 1904 to Joseph and Anna (Sperduto) Cestone. He was a skilled and dedicated carpenter for over 50 years, and a member of the New York Regional Carpenters Union. He retired in 1969. He was married to Catherine (Saladino) who died in 1946 and Laura (Pugliese) who died in 1992. He is survived by his son, Joseph and wife, Florence; his daughter, Ann Cooper and husband John and daughter-in-law, June Pugliese. He is also survived by his devoted sisters, Mary Mecca, and Anne Bonomo. Mr. Cestone was predeceased by brothers, James, John, and Joseph Cestone and Vito Metallo and sisters, Celeste Mauro and Rose Quaranta. He was a loving and caring grandfather and great-grandfather to many. He will be missed dearly. Visitation at George T. Davis Funeral Home, 14 LeCount Place, New Rochelle, Monday 7-9 pm and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm, with a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, 9:30 am at St. Joseph's Church.
