Michael Mullee Obituary
Yonkers, N.Y. - Michael A. Mullee, of Yonkers, NY died peacefully at his home on July 30, 2018. He was 97. Michael was a Teacher at P.S. 114 and Principal at P.S. 88 in the Bronx, NY. After his retirement he continued his passion for education by teaching classes in English as a Second Language in White Plains, NY. He also founded and led "sing along" groups at the Grinton Will Library in Yonkers and the Crestwood Library. Michael was a beloved educator who kept in touch with his students for many years. He brought joy to all who knew him, and was known for his wit and humor. Michael was the beloved husband to Theresa (Preziosi) Mullee, dear brother to Joseph, loving father of Marguerite Mullee Lampman and Joan Mullee, devoted grandfather of Nicole Rowley, Laura Casely, and Michael Santomero and great-grandfather of Luna, Eli, and Eva. Visiting at the Flynn Memorial Home on Friday from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Eugene's Church, Yonkers on Saturday at 10 am. Committal will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.

Mr. Mullee, as I knew him as a sixth-grader, was the most remarkable teacher I've ever known. He was a master in the classroom, inspiring all and creating an enthusiasm for learning never duplicated.
And when I met him for lunch 40 years later, he was the same: Charismatic, inspiring and leaving me feeling better about myself.
His death is a great loss. If this world made sense, Mr. Mullee would be world famous. In the world as it is, he will be forever remembered by those priviledged to be his students. We thought the world of him.
RIP, our great teacher.
