NICHOLAS DEMEO Obituary

Nicholas John DeMeo, Jr., passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at his home in Yonkers; he was 67 years old. Born January 10, 1937 to Nicholas, Sr. and Angelina Tenore DeMeo, he was a lifelong Yonkers resident and attended Yonkers schools. For many years, Nick was employed by Greene County Imports, Tarrytown and then later, by Sau Sea Foods, Yonkers. Nicholas married Kathleen Kuderna on May 30, 1965 in The Most Holy Trinity Church, Yonkers. He will forever be remembered for his love of his family and traditions, and especially his love of his adored grandchildren, whom he lived to spend time with. His memory will live in the hearts of his family always. Survivors include his beloved wife, Kathleen DeMeo of Yonkers; his children: Wendy Laguna and her husband, Gil of Mahopac; Nicholas DeMeo III (Yonkers P.D.) and his wife, Jennifer of Mahopac; Michael DeMeo and his wife, Michelle of Mount Kisco; Juliann DeMeo and John DeMeo of Yonkers. He adored his grandchildren: Alec, Shane and Dylan Laguna and Madison DeMeo. Nicholas is survived by his sisters: Antoinette Pellegrino, Rose Penna, Lillian Penna; and brothers: John DeMeo and Michael DeMeo. He is predeceased by his parents; his brother, Anthony DeMeo and his sister, Frances DeMeo. Nick is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 22 from 7-9 pm and Thursday, September 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 24 at 10 am at the Most Holy Trinity Church in Yonkers. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers, to please make donations to Most Holy Trinity Church, 18 Trinity Plaza, Yonkers, NY. WHALEN & BALL F.H. 168 Park Ave., Yonkers (914)965-5488
