Philip DePippo Obituary

DePippo, Philip L.

Philip L. DePippo of Port Chester, NY passed away peacefully on February 24, 2013 after courageously battling a long illness. He was 60 years old. Philip was born on September 17, 1952 in Valley Stream, NY to Michele DePippo and Jacqueline Ely DePippo and raised in Mount Vernon, NY. He is survived by his loving wife Marianne DePippo (nee Hertzberg) and his cherished children Daniel and Jacqueline who were his greatest pride and joy (and his cherished dog Buddy).

Family was everything to Philip and he was so blessed by the love and support of his family. He is survived by his sister Pamela (Tedd) Ellerbrock of Marietta, GA, sister Michele (Michael) Borrelli of Rye Brook, NY, brother Peter DePippo of East Patchogue, NY, sister, Veronica (Richard) Paulo of Putnam Valley, NY, sister Claudia DePippo of Mt. Vernon, NY, sister Lisa (Mark) Carrusca of Atlanta, GA, brother Paul DePippo (predeceased) and sister-in-law Antoinette DePippo of Harrison, brother-in-law Steven Hertzberg of New York, NY and Julie Seyler. In addition, Philip cherished the love he had for and the time he spent with his 14 nieces and nephews; Michael and Jennifer Borrelli, Philip and Lauren Borrelli, Louis and Elysia Borrelli, Jennifer Norton, Paul DePippo, Jr. , Nicole and Michael Fais, Jeffery Paulo, Sergio Posillico, Marissa Carrusca and Christopher Carrusca. He also adored his 10 great nieces and nephews Michael, Hannah, Eva, Ella, Lukas, Andrue, Maryn, Alana, Scarlett and Georgia. Nothing brought "Uncle Phil" more joy than being with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He is cherished by many and will be remembered with great love and affection.

Philip's remarkable courage, spirit, friendship, humor and laughter will be sorely missed by the many lives he touched. We are comforted that he will continue to watch over us and will be in our hearts always.

Visiting hours will be held at Gunipero Farenga Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 27th from 4 - 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, February 28th at 10 AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Greenwich, CT. Committal services will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations to Calvary Hospital, 1740 Eastchester Rd., Bronx, NY 10461 would be greatly appreciated.
