My heart grieves for you all. I am in total shock. A life cut to short. But, what a life he had with all of you in it. I feel fortunate to have known him and have many fond memories. Reaching out and hugging you all!

I was a lost 17 year old kid when I had ron has an english teacher at de witt clinton high school- I had stopped going to all my other classes -the teachers bored me and I had no motivation

My experience with Mr. Laspagnolette changed my life-He taught you and respected you at the same time- It was comical when the truant officer came to class and Ron asked me what was going on-I explained his was the only class I was attending as I could not wait to go to his class-His love of teaching and his personable and respectful manner never left me

I look him up every year or so to see how he's doing etc and today I finf this out- I would like those who loved him to know that 45 years after I met him his influence in teaching me "thinking"has never left me-While this time must be so difficult for you I can only imagine how lucky you all were to have him in your family. His sense ofpower and elegance and respect never left me- As a 62 year old grown up man I can tell you few people have had that effect on me-My sincere sympathies for a man I met at 17 who helped me develop my mind and gave me a greater opportunity to express myself--Such gifys are rare in a man-you family was quite blessed

Dear Pat, Gia, Tara, and Family,
Ron was a gentleman, a class act, a man who clearly loved his wife and family more than life. I will remember his kindness, his intelligence, his quiet decency. It is tragic that he was taken from his family so quickly and far too soon. I'm sorry for your loss. I wish I could've been with you today to honor his memory and celebrate his life.
Love,
Peter Hedges

Dear Aunt Pat, I was so sad when I heard the news about Uncle Ronnie. He was always so nice to me and I can't ever remember a time when I visited and he wasn't having a laugh. I just wanted you to know how special you and your family are to me and I will be praying for you

" As you get older it is harder to have heroes, but it is sort of necessary. "
Ernest Hemingway
We have regarded no man with greater esteem than Ron LaSpagnoletta.

He was both hero and father figure for two men navigating their way through an often challenging world. For the rest of our lives we will be guided by his unwavering moral compass, poise , kind and elegant demeanor. Patricia,Gia, Tara, ( Andrew, Stephen, Veronica ) there are
no words in times like these. Simply be still and know that Ron is now
in the presence of God. He will never leave you and will protect you in
ways that he could not have while on earth. His memory and our love for him is eternal. Be Still and Be at Peace.

Love, Curtis and George

Dear Pat and family,

I am writing this to you from England where I heard the dreadful news about Ronnie. Charles was shocked when Norma called him and he contacted me immediately. We are heartbroken for you and the girls. Ronnie was a kind and loving man with a great sense of humor and made us always feel warm and welcome whenever we met. Charles, James, Wiley, and I send you our warmest thoughts and our wishes for strength and peace during this sad time.

Love, Frances
