Samuel Alexander Bolen, formerly of Chappaqua, and recently of South Salem and White Plains, passed away on April 29 in San Clemente, CA, at the age of 23. My favorite memory with Sam Bolen has to be laying in the middle of his quiet road looking up at a beautiful star-filled sky and seeing my first shooting star. I didn't make a wish because at that moment I felt complete. Thank you for giving me that moment Sam.
Now I only wish I shared more memories with Sam and Tom. I'm looking up at the stars and thinking of you two.

As a mother of a 23 yr old son, I can not imagine the agony and grief that Sam's family is experiencing over the death of Sam. Revealing his struggle with addiction , tells me that his loving family struggled with him. God bless you for all that you did for him. He is no longer suffering but is at peace in God's loving arms. I pray that his family be comforted by their love for their son and each other, and their faith. Your family and your loss are in my prayers.

Though I did not know Samuel, nor any member of his family, I am so very saddened about Samuel's struggle and all his family's loss. It was extremely brave of Samuel's family to include in obit struggle with addiction. In this day and age addictions should be acknowledged as something that is real, and nothing to be ashamed of. May Samuel rest in peace and may the family dwell on all the happinesses they had with Samuel.
