Samuel Zotto Obituary

Samuel A. Zotto, Sr. of Peekskill, NY passed away on December 16, 2009, he was 86 years old. Mr. Zotto worked for NY Central Railroad as a Car Man, retiring in 1983 from Metro North (formerly NY Central Railroad). He was born on October 2,1923 in Brooklyn to Vito and Antoinette Picciani Zotto. Samuel served in the US Navy during WWII. On April 13, 1947 he married Rose "Babe" Mirra at the Assumption Church in Peekskill. He is survived by his wife Rose "Babe" Zotto of Peekskill, three children; Samuel A. Zotto, Jr. of Fishkill, Richard (Elizabeth) Zotto of Buchanan, and Christina (John) Gioacchini of Garrison. Also surviving are five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a brother Rocco Zotto of Watertown, CT. Predeceased by a sister, Jessie Letterio. Visitation is today, Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the JOSEPH F. NARDONE FUNERAL HOME, Peekskill, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 10 AM at the Assumption Church.
