Sharron Van Ostrand of Stony Point died Friday August 31, 2012 at home. She was 63. She was born October 20, 1948 in Suffern to James and Beatrice Van Ostrand. Sharron graduated from Haverstraw High School in the Class of 1963. She worked for Orangetown Orthopedics.

Sharron is survived by her loving husband of 20 years Joel Babcock, son Stephen and his wife Danielle Van Ostrand, her grandchildren Madison, Noah, James. Her siblings Beatrice Wanamaker, Fayetta Van Ostrand, Carol and John Tomovick, Earle Van Ostrand, Holly Van Ostrand, Lenora and Elio Rodriquez many nieces, nephews and cousins. Sharron is pre deceased by her Brothers James and Arthur, Sister Margaret.

Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9, Wednesday 2-4, 7-8 pm at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home HAVERSTRAW. Sharron's Funeral Service will be celebrated at 8:00 pm with Reverend Warren Brandt officiating. Burial will be private for the family.

I remember Sharron from living across the street from her way back when! We had Emmies Snack Shack and she used to hang around with us all and she was so much fun.I am truly sorry for your loss Joel.As well as her sisters Holly and Lee.God bless you all.
