Stephen Bolnik Obituary
Stephen Bolnik, a former resident of New Rochelle and current resident of Katonah, died on July 14, 2012. He was 63.
Stephen was born on May 3, 1949 in New Rochelle to the late Theodore and Carolyn (Keller) Bolnik. He served in the Army during the Viet Nam war.
He is survived by his brother Michael Bolnik and his wife Dorothy; his sister Anne Colleary and her husband Brian; his cousin Mark Durney and his wife Linda, and several cousins nieces and nephews. Steve was a caring, genuine person who put others first. With special thanks to Donna, Dawn, Debra, Robin, Regina, Kathy, Lori, Mark, Eddie, and John Paul for their love and support in helping him to complete the final lap.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday 3-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel Inc., 16 Shea Pl., New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Westchester preferred.

I met Steve in Asmara, Ethiopia in 1971 during our Army assignment at Kagnew Station. Steve before me and picked me up at Ft. Dix, NJ when I returned to the US. We used to talk on the phone for hours several times a year after that but life somehow got in the way and we lost touch. Today, 6/7/21, I found an old address book with Steve's phone & address . I found his # was disconnected and after some looking found Steve had passed. Sure wish I would have stayed in touch with my old friend. Ernie Wray.

I am saddened and shocked to hear of Stephen's passing. We were in elementary school together and I remember him so well, as if it were yesterday. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

From beginning to end we had a special bond, He was not only my love but also my family. Steve taught me many things for which I am greatful. I know he will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
He is at peace now.
