Jane , I am so saddened to find Nathan has passed on , I never got to meet him but you spoke so lovingly about him , being so proud of the man he was , when I spoke to you after Dicks passing.

I worked with Nathan at Hancock. We had an ongoing joke about fishing at Hancock Lake (the flooded parking lot.:) We had many laughs together and he was a great guy. Condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed.

Have you ever wandered past a large buttressing root tree, near a stream, birds chirping, while pondering the world outside the valley, to run into the peaceful smiling face of a gentle soul who just knew the moment you were having? Nate was sensitive and supportive, filled with joy for nature. He could operate a bus while throwing down a shaka to every person he drove past, never missing a beat of his tour schtick. I always enjoyed working with Nate and his smile is my favorite memory. To Nate's wife Sarah and his family, I am saddened by your loss.

Aloha Sarah- I had the great pleasure to call Nathan my friend. We worked together at NTBG on Kaua´i and shared many days of laughter and pulling "Cali Swag" lingo out at the perfect moments. Our hearts hurt and ache to hear the news of Nathan’s passing. Big Nate, we called him, because he was always watching over our son, Nathan. His sister Anna would watch over my daughters. Friends and neighbors for 18 years, big Nate would always light up the room with his big smile and deep laugh, at my son, but very caring while teaching him how to ride a skateboard and countless video games. I am shocked and saddened to learn of 'Big Nate's passing... I had the pleasure to work with him in Hawaii at the garden where his love and enthusiasm for plants, trees, and nature was evident every day. Nate was such a positive, uplifting guy. I came to know Nathan and his entire family while working with his Dad, Dick at KCOY-TV in Santa Maria. We had so many fun times together and Nathan was always around with a big smile and great sense of humor. He loved his family very much and his Dad and Mom were so proud of him. When Nathan began his travels to different parts of the world it was so much fun keeping up with his adventures. After his Dad passed I know his Mom, Jane and sister, Anna were so happy when he returned to Lompoc and made a home with his lovely bride Sarah. It seems impossible that God has taken Nathan at such a young age. Many tears will be shed but hopefully the sweet memories will help in a small way. I do know this, I am so proud to have know Nathan and feel confident his Dad and our Lord were there in heaven with open arms waiting to welcome him to his eternal home. Needless to say that is so difficult for those left behind here on earth but someday all will be reunited.
