Doris Scannell Obituary

Doris Ann Scannell, 82, of Sterling, Virginia, passed away on December 13, 2023. She was born on September 25, 1941.

Doris was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband, John R. Scannell, and a cherished mother to her daughters, Pamela Scannell and Teresa L. Mason. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kathryn (Kitty) Scannell.

Doris worked for the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office as an Administrative Assistant for 32 years. She was known as the Candy Lady because she always had candy on her desk for the deputies.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Sterling United Methodist Church.
