Basil Richards Obituary

Basil E. Richards, 53, of Louisville, died Sunday at his residence. He was a mortgage consultant. He was preceded in death by his father, John D. Richards, in 1978. He is survived by his mother, Audrey Richards of Radcliff, KY, and brothers, Wayne W. Richards of Pikeville, KY, and John K. Richards of Radcliff. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Highland Baptist Church, 1101 Cherokee Road. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service at church. Pearson's entrusted with arrangements.

Jayne and I remember Basil fondly. I first knew him at University of Kentucky when we were Sigma Chi Fraternity brothers. About three years ago we renewed our friendship when he came to work for me. We will miss him. Our deepest condolences.
