Beverly Haskins Bowles

Louisville - Beverly Haskins Bowles, age 92, passed away on December 9, 2020 and will be lovingly missed.

She was born in 1928 in Jenks, Oklahoma to Maye and Ruel Davis, where she lived until the age of 19 when she fell in love with and married Clifford Haskins, a young Air Force Officer. They had a son, Stephen and a daughter, Toni. Beverly loved the military life and embraced the opportunity to live in and experience different areas. The longest stay and the place they called home was Omaha, Nebraska, where Clifford was with Strategic Air Command and Beverly was Director of Human Resources at Western Electric. Upon retirement in 1972, they moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas, and enjoyed retired life until Clifford's passing in 1982. Ten years later, Beverly married George Bowles, who was also a widower and a wonderful man and loving husband and grandfather. George passed away in 2006.

Beverly was blessed to have a long and full life and was healthy and independent until the last 24 hours before her passing. Vibrant and feisty, with a kind heart, giving spirit and delightful sense of humor, Beverly was an avid football fan, a very good golfer and an excellent bridge player. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a treasure to her family and friends.

She is survived by her son Stephen Haskins (Linda) and her daughter, Toni Ganzel (Brian) and grandchildren Brad and Marjorie Hersman and Natalie and Paige Ganzel.

Due to COVID restrictions, visitation and services will be private. Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, St. Matthews was entrusted with arrangements. Beverly will be laid to rest beside Clifford in Bentonville, Arkansas.
