I regret that I was unable to come pay my respects to Bobby Sparrow, one of the finer public servants I have known. I got to know him when I was political writer for The Courier-Journal and he was security for Gov. Brereton Jones, and I recognized him as a solid, reliable and sharp guy with good people skills but always a firm focus on the best course of action. I lost track of him in recent years but was not surprised to learn that he was a good mayor for Lawrenceburg. He will be missed.

So sorry for Bambi and all of Bobby's family. Mother (Callie Crossfield) thought the world of him. He did so many nice things for her and transported her many places. He was always so thoughtful. He will be missed by so many people.

Bobby was my bus driver as a kid and he was always so nice. I bragged about him all the time. One of the best all around for sure. He will be missed dearly. Prayers for the family. May God wrap his arms around all of you.

I am so sorry to learn about Bobby's passing. He was a great guy. Ha gave me my driver's test at 16 years old. I thought the world of him. Although we didn't connect much, I knew he was there. We were cousins. Our grandfathers were brothers.
I am so sorry for the close family and friends. I know he will be greatly missed. May God comfort and strengthen your family during this difficult time.
