Dana Sims Obituary
73, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Episcopal Church Home.
Danni had been a homemaker most of her life, and for many years, she served on the Bereavement Committee at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Glenmary Country Club.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Sims and her only brother Ronnie Link.
Left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Bernard M. Sims; three children, Michele U'Sellis, Brian Sims (Melissa) and Tricia Kirby (David); seven grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Isabel, Nicholas, Sophia, Ben (Megan) and Brian (Taylor).
Danni's family would like to express their utmost gratitude to the ER and floor staff at Baptist Health and the Episcopal Church Home for their care provided to her during her stay, as well to the family.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, February 6th at the Episcopal Church Home, 7504 Westport Road, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Episcopal Church Home in Danni's memory. Ratterman and Sons on Bardstown Road is serving the family. Online condolences may be left at www.ratterman.com.

I think of Dana often remembering all the good times we enjoyed, so many wonderful memories of a sweet, funny great person. I miss her, and send my sympathy to her children.

We were neighbors and good friends of Bernie and Dani. We enjoyed sharing memories of Glenmary especially at the bridge table. We will surely miss Dani. God bless Bernie and the children.

It is with great sadness to learn of Danni's passing. We were best friends throughout high school and some years after until we lost touch regrettably. I could fill a book about our years together, so many high school adventures, even getting in trouble fairly often, fun times at slumber parties, spending nights together (sneaking out sometimes late at night to meet Bernie and his friends, if memory serves). My mind keeps filling up with so many memories today, and my heart hurts in spite of us not seeing each other for too many years. Danni had a beautiful smile as in this wonderful photo of her. Her personality and sense of humor was second to none. My deepest sympathy to Bernie at the loss of his lifetime love and companion, her children who always made her proud, and her grandchildren. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers today and in the coming hard days of mourning. Hopefully all the sweet memories you must have bring some peace and comfort.
