Betti and family,

I am so saddened to learn of David's passing. I enjoyed serving with him on the NRPA Board of Trustees and reconnecting each year at the NRPA Ambassadors lunch at the NRPA Congress. I will miss his humor and interesting stories. I feel blessed to have had my journey intersect with his.

I worked with David on the Stones River Greenway Master Plan. David and I met at a conference and he asked me to partner with him. It was terrific working with David. He was fun to be around, had a sharp mind, was a talented designer. David has left an enduring legacy of completed projects in Tennessee and throughout the SE United States. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the tremendous team at Lose and Associates.

David was a longtime friend which i have great memories of. His warmth and enthusiasm in all circumstances was infectious. He never met a stranger and always had a kind word to say when we met. He and his personality is the reason Lose and Associates became the front runner in Recreation Planning in the Southeast US. I know I will miss his big smile and warm handshake. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I met David through his work with NRPA. His staunch advocacy for ALL parks will be greatly missed. His legacy is there each and every day when people visit and enjoy the public spaces he designed and supported. His legacy is seen every day on the faces of the children and adults who enjoy the public spaces he designed and supported. May memories of good times help shoulder the grief of his passing. I met David two years ago in my new capacity as the Director of Louisville Metro Parks and Recreation. As has been written in the Obituary about his approachability, we instantly hit it off and became good friends. I last visited him in Nashville with a colleague of mine only two months ago.
He showed us around town all the projects dear to him, and you could feel the pleasure and pride he took in them.
I will sincerely miss his smile and gestures and I know he had a big heart.
My sincere condolences to his family and staff at the firm.
In Sympathy,
Seve Ghose
