Thinking of your family at this sorrowful time.

For those of us that worked with Ed at LG&E, Ed was a special individual. He marched to a different drummer, always energetic, interested in sharing the latest item that intrigued him, willing to help out in any way possible, provided assistance to an ill member of the group, quick to share a joke, loved to tackle a difficult problem that a customer may present, and a challenge to management to focus his pursuits. Ed was a loving person, full of life and a most memorable person.
The members of the LG&E Sales and Marketing group shared a bond with Ed working together over the years and his memory will continue to be repeated each time we meet and share stories of his feats in life.
Our sympathy goes to his wife Nadine, family members and Ed's good friend Dave Hasch.

Ed was one of the most interesting people I have ever met. Was just thinking about him and the upcoming solar eclipse in August. Ed, buddy, you will be missed.

Ed was probably the most prolific sidewalk astronomer in the metro, showing thousands of people the Moon and planets each year. He was a member of the Louisville Astronomical society, and a friend. His passion for teaching the public about astronomy was unparalleled. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. We will miss you, Ed.

Ed Sharp and his team of volunteers shared the night sky with over 14,000 people last year at the Jeffersonville end of the Big Four Bridge. On any clear night, Ed was always there, teaching and showing kids and adults the moon or planets. He was the moderator of the Moons and Planets at the B4B Facebook group and gave a wealth of information to his foillowers. He was a dedicated member of the Louisville Astronomical Society and served on its Board of Directors. Ed won the LAS Sidewalk Astronomy Star Award in 2016. In his honor, the LAS will rename it the Ed Sharp Award. We love you, buddy. We will miss you!

Many people from the community will have met Ed at the bottom of the Big 4 Bridge offering views through his telescope. He set up on the Indiana side on almost any warm clear night and shared his knowledge of astronomy with anyone who'd stop.
