Just found out today Dr. Sims had passed away. I am so saddened and shocked to learn about this. Dr. Sims was an awesome veterinarian and a very kind man. He took care of our pets for over 25 years. He always took the time to explain everything and I knew our fur babies were in the best of hands. You will be sorely missed Dr. Sims. Thank you for everything you and your staff did for us and our pets. Thinking of you Stephanie and your Mom and all of Dr. Sim's family. RIP Dr. Sims

I was shocked and saddened to learn a few days ago when I visited his animal hospital that Dr. Sims had passed away. He was my Vet for over 30 years because I found him to be a very caring person for the animals and their owners. I know that he will be greatly missed by many. My heartfelt prayers and sympathy go out to all of his family members and all of those who worked with him and knew him. May he rest in peace.

Dr. Sims was the most knowledgeable Vet I have known. He was kind and considerate of my feelings when I endured a loss. He did everything in his power to help my babies when they were sick. I trusted him with their lives. I am devastated by his loss. I felt we became friends as well as doctor client. I loved sharing stories with him and will truly truly miss him. I just learned of his passing. Stephanie you have my deepest sympathy. I did not have the privilege of meeting Carolyn but he talked of her often. I called to check on Dr. Sims and he was doing well so I am dismayed by his passing. I want to thank Stephanie and Nancy for the years of taking care of my pets. I will miss seeing and talking to you both. I am sure he touched so many lives that warm thoughts and love will be felt by many. Please feel free to call me, you have my info.

Dr. Sims was our family Veterinarian from my teen years on. He cared for many animals my parents and later pets that I owned. He was a favorite of my father, Marvin Kirchner. When my father passed in 2007 we took a flyer with a picture of my Dads cat to post in the office hoping to locate a new owner. Dr. Sims took his time to visit with my husband and I for some time. He did offer to take the cat should we not find an owner while we were in Louisville settling things. In the end, through that flyer at Dr. Sims hospital a new owner was found for the cat.
Our condolences to Carolyn and family. What a fine man!

I first met Dr. Sims when I was just a kid going with my dad to take our Beagle hounds to get their shots. Through the years, not only did he take care of my pets but he and his staff became like family to me. A wonderful, character he was! I will miss Sims Animal Hospital very much!
