Louise Wode Obituary

WODE, LOUISE STREIBLE, 93, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 8, 2006. Louise was a loving mother and was proud of her independence in her long life. She shared her love of gardening, cooking, and reading with those who knew her, and had a great interest in organizations that enabled elderly individuals to live independently in their own homes. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Fred Wode; her sister, Janetta Grace Padgett; and her son-in-law, Harry S. Frazier Jr. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Frazier of Prospect and Sandra Wode Smiley of California; a son-in-law, Charles Smiley; three grandchildren, George, Sandra and Virginia Frazier; one great- grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2006 at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2006 in Cave Hill Cemetery. Friends should meet at the Grinstead gate at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that expressions of sympathy go to ElderServe, 411 E. Muhammed Ali Blvd., Louisville, KY 40202. 502-587-8673.
