Michael Moody Obituary

MOODY, MICHAEL "MICK" LEE SR., 73, of Louisville, KY, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014.

He retired from Naval Ordinance and Raytheon after 47 years of service. He was a faithful, long time member of Farmdale Baptist Church and U.S. Air Force veteran.

Mick was a man of unparalleled faith with a deep love for God's Word. He adored his wife and children and was the most devoted of grandfathers. For all of his days, he selflessly loved and served his family with Christ as his model. In his professional life, Mick's work ethic and integrity was like that of none other.

Mick is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Latoka Curry Moody, sons; Michael L. Moody Jr. (Cherie), Jason Moody (Chasity), daughters; Dana Mitchell (Devon), Tessa Tiemann (Jason), brother; Don Moody (Mary), sister; Vicki Lynne Allred (Dennis), and 12 beautiful grandchildren.

His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday January 14, 2014 at Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home,12900 Shelbyville Rd. Louisville, KY 40243. Visitation will be Monday 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be donated to Farmdale Baptist Church or Jefferson Street Baptist Center.

I have lost contact with Mickey since our early youth, but thought of him often. We were in the boy scouts together and our first double dates taking our girl friends to a movie downtown. Many great memories.
