Richard "Dick" Glenn Edeburn

Louisville - Richard (Dick) Glenn Edeburn, 79 passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Baptist Health Hospital. He was born in Sharon, Pa. to the late Glenn and Lillian (Nelson) Edeburn . Richard was a kind, tenacious, smart, funny, spunky, and loving man to his family and his friends. His commitment to his family was unmatched and he will be missed dearly far and wide. Dick served in the United States Navy and was a graduate of Grove City College procuring an Electrical Engineer degree. He worked for Bessemer Railroad, Conrail, and retired from Safetran System where he was the Vice President of Applications. Dick grew up on a farm which cultivated his love of the outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He spent many years traveling to Colorado and Wyoming hunting as well as Canada to fish with his cherished close outdoor companions. He continued to golf throughout his entire life and enjoyed golfing weekly with his friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Belva Edeburn Woods.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Grove Edeburn; daughter, Allison Edeburn Ward (Shawn); grandchildren, Tristan Thompson, Laela and Avery Ward, Peyton Greenrose (Austin),great-granddaughter, Penelope ; sister, Dorothea Edeburn Creighton; son, Brice Edeburn; grandson Kellen ; son, Brant Edeburn (Jodi); grandson Derek Edeburn

A memorial visitation will be on Thursday, September 9 from 4 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. at Ratterman Brothers Funeral Home 12900 Shelbyville Rd. East Louisville with a

Memorial Service on Friday, September 10 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

White flowers are requested for the service to emulate a moon lit garden.

Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers can be made to Dare to Care.

A good man. A trusted coworker. A friend. You will be missed Dick! I worked with Dick during his time at Conrail. We stayed in touch over the years and I always enjoyed our conversations. The memories we shared were rich and colorful! Blessings to all who knew him!
