Alan Roscoe Obituary

of Lowell; age 62

LOWELL - Alan T. Roscoe, age 62, a resident of Lowell, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 following a courageous 4 year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of AnneMarie (Bedard) Roscoe, to whom he was married for 33 years.

Alan was born in Minot, North Dakota on September 29, 1960, and was the son of Barbara A. (Kriete) Deschenes (Mother) and her husband the late Francis "Mike" Deschenes, and the late John "Jack" Roscoe (Father) and his wife Roberta Roscoe. He was a graduate of Tewksbury High School.

Alan proudly served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne in Ft. Bragg, NC.

Prior to his illness, he worked for many years as an HVAC technician, most recently at Royal Air Systems in N. Reading. Earlier in his career he was the owner of Atlantis Air.

Alan was a very active member of the Boston Church of Christ - Northwest Mission Center where he was a Worship Leader and servant for many years.

Alan was quick to help others in need and was involved in countless community service projects throughout the years. Among them was Hoops for Hope; a 24 hour basketball marathon he participated in annually, raising money to support hospitals in Cambodia.

In his free time, Alan enjoyed fishing, playing pool, chess, tennis, and ping pong. He also loved playing guitar, golfing with his

father and brothers, and playing basketball, especially with his children.

In addition to his wife, Mother and Step-Mother, Alan is survived by his son, Adam T. Roscoe of Lowell; his two daughters, Brittany A. Roscoe and Nicole R. Duran and her husband Yovanny, all of Lowell; his granddaughter, Aleyna Renee Duran; two brothers, Carl Roscoe and Michael Roscoe and his wife Julie, all of Pelham, NH; his sister Linda Burgess of Nashua, NH; three step-brothers, Michael Deschenes and his wife Susan, Mark Deschenes and Joseph Surprenant and his wife Cheri, two step-sisters, Cheryl Wyatt and her husband Mark and Monica Curdo and her husband Jerry; two sisters-in-law, Rita Heins and her husband Dale of The Villages, FL. and Jeannine Difranza of Billerica; and many nieces and nephews.

Alan Roscoe was a true symbol of chivalry and unconditional love, an admirable example of a father and husband, and a man of resilient faith who changed the lives of others and was an exemplary servant. Everywhere he went he made it his mission to be a friend to all, especially to those who typically get overlooked. Alan was an incredible leader. He was the one of a kind father who dedicated his life to his family, sang his heart out while playing guitar and always put his family first. He was hard working, a mentor to so many, always had a word of wisdom, a kind and gentle soul who was humble, always had a smile on his face as well as a legendary mustache, always looked to lift the spirits of others, bringing laughter and joy. He was a loving father and a loving husband. Alan left us a rich legacy of love, faith, and hope. He was very loved and will forever be remembered.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Alan's Life Celebration at the MCKENNA-OUELLETTE FUNERAL HOME, 327 Hildreth Street, Lowell on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 PM . Burial will be private.
