Albert C. Charpentier
of Chelmsford, decorated WWll Vet; 91

CHELMSFORD -- Albert C. Charpentier passed away on February 19, 2013 at his home in Chelmsford, at the age of 91.

He was born in Lawrence, MA in 1921 and was the son of the late Donat and Rose Anna (Dubois) Charpentier.

He served in the US Army during WWII, taking part in the European Theater, receiving a Bronze Star, three Purple Hearts, a Good Conduct Medal, and theater ribbons. He retired as a Sergeant Major after 27 years.

His work career started in the textile mills of Lawrence and he later became a cost accountant. He attended college in the evenings, eventually earning his MBA. He worked at Avco/Textron and American Optical during his career.

He is survived by his three children, Denyse Densmore and her husband, Michael, Ronald Charpentier, and Paul Charpentier and his wife, Andrea Dacko; two grandchildren, James Densmore and Lily Charpentier; and a step-granddaughter, Kara Brown.

He was predeceased by his wife, Florence Gosselin, and his wife, Carolyn Lingenfelter.

CHARPENTIER -- Visitation will be held TODAY (Thursday) from 4 until 7 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at
9 o'clock at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover. For those that desire, donations may be made in Albert's name to the Lazarus House of Lawrence, 412 Hampshire St., Lawrence MA 01841 or to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. In loving memory of Al, we celebrate a life well-lived. We remember his commitment to the Shepherd's Center. He kept our financial house in order and brought smiles with his entertaining stories. Wonderful memories!

I amso glad you put this is our paper!!
I did not call Al on his Nov birthday.
I admired Al so much and so happy he and Carolyn spent later life together!!
Carolyn was a dear friend of mine.
