Charles Gagnebin Obituary

LEBANON, N.H. - Charles Lincoln Gagnebin, 28, a resident of Harvard and Ridgefield, Conn., died Saturday, Nov. 23 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

He was born in Concord, a son of Charles and Constance Gagnebin of Harvard. He graduated from Nashoba Brooks School, the Fenn School of Concord, where he was captain of the tennis team and played saxophone in the marching and jazz bands, and the Cambridge School of Weston.

He attended the University of Vermont and Landmark College in Putney, Vt., an extension school of SUNY Purchase, where he was pursuing a music degree.

In 1990, Mr. Gagnebin suffered a cranial aneurysm which left him disabled. Despite his handicaps, he completed a year of "City Year" and with electronic assistance renewed his interest in music.

Mr. Gagnebin was an assistant in hypotherapy programs and enjoyed horsemanship and summering on Mt. Desert Island, Maine with his family.

Besides his parents, he is survived by a sister, Rachel Gagnebin of Old Town Alexandria, Va.; his grandparents, Lincoln and Nancy Clark of Chelmsford; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was also the grandson of the late Louis and Charlotte Gagnebin of Cohasset.
