Clare A. (Romanowsky) Cassidy
formerly of Westford, MA and Pelham, NH

NASHUA, NH -- Clare A. (Romanowsky) Cassidy, 67, a resident of Nashua, NH for 10 years, formerly of Westford, MA and Pelham, NH, passed away at her home on Monday, January 12, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Gerald Cassidy to whom she had been married for 48 years.

She was born in Lowell on August 8, 1947, and was a daughter of the late Arnold P. and Margaret (McNabb) Romanowsky. Clare received her early education in the Westford schools and was a 1965 graduate of Westford Academy. Prior to moving to Nashua, Clare was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Westford. She was employed by the Hollis, NH school system and in her spare time enjoyed volunteering at the Nashua Soup Kitchen. Clare enjoyed line dancing, crafting, and gardening. She loved traveling to warm places and spending time at her home on Lake Winnipesaukee.

In addition to her loving husband, Clare is survived by a daughter Dawn Cassidy, and son Paul Cassidy both of Nashua; four grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister-in-law Jean Scalese and her husband Vincent; brothers-in-law; Robert Cassidy, Jack Cassidy and his wife Ellen, and Paul Cassidy, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by a sister Eileen Romanowsky and a brother Kenneth Romanowsky.

CASSIDY -- CLARE A. (ROMANOWSKY). Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 8 pm at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen St., CHELMSFORD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 o'clock at St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish, 107 North Main St., Westford, MA. PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. Interment to follow in St. Catherine of Alexandria Cemetery, Pine Ridge Rd., Westford. For those who desire, memorial donations may be made to the Nashua Soup Kitchen, P. O.
