Of Lowell, Daniel "Dan" E. Lamarche, 63, husband of Donna M. (Ianucci) Lamarche, a member of the Lowell Police Department, Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, April 3rd, from 2 - 6PM, in the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave., DRACUT, MA. His funeral will be held from the funeral home at 8:45AM with his Funeral Mass to follow at St. Margaret's Church, Lowell on Wednesday, April 4th at 10AM. In lieu of flowers ,Donations may be made in Dan's memory to: American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA. 01701. Doesn't seem like a year has passed and gone but memories will never die. You are one of a kind...i remember when you were driving around in your cruiser and when I left for work, I noticed my windshield covered in parking tickets...I had to laugh at the reasons you wrote them up for and the amount of money you charged...LOL...you had a wonderful sense of humor and you always kept me laughing.

Dan was the kind of police officer that went above and beyond his call of duty... perfect example:
in the late 80's or early 90's my Z28 was stolen from my driveway. It was involved in a police chase and the thief crashed my car in to a house during the chase. Dan LPD came to my house to take a police report from me.( I did not know him before that day!!
While taking my statement I had told the officer," I had 2 legs of lamb in the back seat of my car which was for our lunch special at the Worthen House for the next day for Greek Independence day, March 25Th. and I was not sure what I was going to do about buying more as I needed to be cooking them early to be ready for lunch.
Dan unbeknown to me went to where the car had been towed , picked up my lambs from the back seat and returned to my house @ 3 am !!!!!! with both lamb legs in hand
WHO DOES THAT !!!!!!!
ONLY the BEST COPS really care... he was ONE WHO DID!!

Sorry to his whole family i remember how i mett him i was young at a traffic stop the next day he leftca note on my car he was the nicest person u could met i'm glafd i got to meet him u will be missed RIP and always watch over ur family and kerp them safe

Dear Donna and Kellie, There are no words to describe the shock and sadness over losing my friend Danny. I want so badly somehow help ANYTHING without being intrusive. I can't begin to imagine how hard this is for you. Remembering Danny's smile and sense of humor, always made me laugh till I cried. And remembering you standing next to him with the same SMILE watching the mascara pouring down my face, from Danny's list of new Nick names for me. But for now, it's just tears without a smile, for you and him, and His Kellie. Every photograph of the 2 of you together, and pictures of Danny and his Kellie, show a love for each other that is obviously and genuinely very deep and intensely private but BOTH of you always had room for a friend.
