Albert LaMarche Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boston Cremation - Malden Care Center on Feb. 11, 2026.
It is with unbearable sadness that the family of Albert "Butch" LaMarche announce his passing

after nine months of illness. He was predeceased by his first wife and his son, Jeffrey. He was the

only son of Albert and Josephine (Gonet) LaMarche. He never met his father who died in Iwo

Jima while serving in the Marines. Butch retired from his 51-year career in 2025.

In his younger days, he and his wife traveled to tropical locations to relax and scuba dive. He

spent years boating in Newburyport and Salem. Butch enjoyed traveling with his wife and rescue

dogs, Isabelle and Fitz and many others who have since passed.

The only thing he loved more than his job and the N.Y. Rangers was his family. He is survived

by his wife of over 50 years, Sandee, his daughters, Kelly Carignan and Kristen Bibeau (Gene),

son, Patrick Carignan; granddaughters, Marissa Timothy (Ahmad), Morgan Seuss (Fred), and

Hayley Palacio (Gian); great granddaughters, Alice, Elsie, and Matilda. He loved his family and

was a kind and caring father and grandfather. He is also survived by two daughters from his first

marriage, Stephanie Lavoie and Robin Toom and their children.

At his and the family's request, there will be no services. If you wish, you can donate to the

charity of your choice in his honor. The family would like to thank the excellent care he received

at Lahey Hospital in Burlington, Care One in Peabody, and Salem Hospital in Salem,

Massachusetts.

Hug your loved ones today and let them know you love them.

To my grandfather,

Although we didn´t get to spend as much time together as I would have hoped, I have often thought about the years and moments we missed. I wish you could have been there to see your biological daughter, Stephanie, raise her children - Chelsey and Ashley. There were so many games, achievements, practices, graduations, and weddings that we would have loved to share with you.

Family is a lasting bond, and no amount of distance or time can erase that. I take comfort in believing you are now reunited with your wife, our grandmother Helena and Uncle Jeff. I hope you have found peace, and that you are surrounded by love.

You will be remembered.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Al by working alongside him while I was at Karas & Karas Glass. He always had a smile on his face as well as a joke. He was a very caring and giving person from what I remember him as. He will be deeply missed. He is not suffering and now he is your guardian angel look I no out for all the ones he loved and loves.
