Beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson; 23
TYNGSBORO -- Daniel P. "Bugsy" Ruane, 23, a resident Tyngsboro, and former longtime resident of Chelmsford, died Thursday, December 13th, 2012, after a long battle with addiction.
He was born in Winchester on September 21, 1989, and was the beloved son of Vicki J. Keith of Tyngsboro. He received his education in Chelmsford schools and attended Chelmsford High School.
Bugsy was a hard worker and a perfectionist, and could build or fix just about anything he put his mind to. His goal was to become an electrician. He had a great sense of humor and was extremely loyal to those he cared about and was always there when they needed him.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and collecting various things that he felt either he could fix or use in some way. He also loved dogs and for a time had worked training and caring for them.
In addition to his mother, Bugsy is survived by his two sisters, Krystal Warshafsky and her husband, Derek of Nashua, NH, and Erica Ruane of Tyngsboro; his two nephews, Cole and Cameron Warshafsky; his maternal grandfather, Vernon S. Keith of Warren, MA; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was also the grandson of the late Judith Keith.
RUANE -- His visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD on Tuesday from 3 until 7 pm. His Funeral Service will be private. I just found out about the passing of Bugsy. I am so sorry for the family, my heart and thoughts go out to you. I haven't really known Bugsy since middle school but I knew him pretty well then and will forever think of him as a very smart, polite and kind person. He was absolutely a good person and he will be missed. Thinking of his family at this time..

I used to work with Dan and was very fond of him. He was always respectful and willing to help. He and I got along very well and I am very saddened to hear of his passing. You and the rest of your family will be in my thoughts and prayers. God speed Bugsy, may you find peace.

I've been thinking of you Vicki since I got the news, of course. Bugsy was truly one of the sweetest kids that frequented here. He even came to visit me to say "Hi " a few months ago. Vicki, my heart so goes out to you. Your son was one of the most polite boys that has ever entered my home, and though I know this problem burdened him,and a couple of mine too, it was such a struggle for them. I loved Bugsy. He was just over to stop by and say Hi a few months ago. I pray for you and your family and hope the good Lord helps you find solace. RIP our pal- I will miss you as much as the kids. Love ya Bugs

My deepest sympathy to the family of Daniel on his passing at such a young age. My heart breaks, for i too have a daughter the same age who battles a severe addition, who knew Daniel from growing up in her middle school/high school years in Chelmsford. May god bless you and watch over you Daniel.
