She was born in Austin, Texas, on July 23, 1917, a daughter of the late Charles Morse and Ethel Gough Larned. Mrs. Burt had been a North Haven resident for 50 years and then moved to Wallingford eight years ago.
She was employed in the Guidance Department of North Haven High School for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the North Haven Congregational Church and its church choir.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha B. and Roger Hassard of Waterford and Nancy B. and Stephen Desrosiers of Lowell; four grandsons, Daniel Hassard, and James Hassard and his wife Tania, and Timothy and Jeremy Drelick.
