"Distinguished Child Psychiatrist"

Dr. Jacqueline A. Rogers, 79, of Lowell, a renowned psychiatrist passed peacefully, surrounded with love, in her home on January 6, 2018, with Jacqueline's only daughter, Kimberly J. Rogers and spouse, Paige B. Haley by her side as she was carried home to God.

Born in Akron, Ohio, July 31, 1938, the daughter of the late Panagiotis and the late Lillian (Kosmetos) Arapakis, she attended Our Lady of the Elms High School in Akron, Ohio, where she graduated in 1956.

Dr. Rogers received her Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts in 1960, from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio. Dr. Rogers went on to attain her Degree in Medicine from Case Western Reserve University, as only one of three woman in her class.

She built a prominent private practice as a Child Psychiatrist and established Family Associates in Beechwood, Ohio, which she ran for 31 years until her retirement. She became the staff psychiatrist on the television show "The Morning Exchange" and shared her wealth of knowledge with the community on the show for many years.

Dr. Rogers wrote and published her books, "Open Minded Heart" and "Breathpower", and created a musical method of healing for children and adults decades before her time.

Dr. Rogers is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and her Angel group of caregivers.

ROGERS - A CELEBRATION OF LIFE for Dr. Jacqueline Rogers, will be held Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Gibbet Hill Barn, Groton, MA. Pre-celebration gathering from 12:00-12:30 pm, with the Celebration Service to begin at 12:30 pm. Light fare and drink to follow.
