Jeanne (Moore) Normandy
of Andover, Massachusetts

July 26, 1928 - January 14, 2019

Jeanne Moore Normandy, 90, of Andover, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 14 at High Pointe House for Hospice Care in Haverhill. Born on July 26, 1928 in Syracuse, New York, she was the daughter of the late James and Dorothy (Drais) Moore. She graduated from Lowell High School in Lowell, Massachusetts and Mary Brooks College in Boston, Massachusetts. She was a 60 year resident of Andover. Jeanne was a homemaker until her children were grown. She then followed her passion of education by working in the Andover Public School System for over 30 years. She was very active in the Andover community where she spent many years volunteering in Andonna, the Andover Thrift Shop and the Andover Senior Center. She loved spending summers in Maine and cheering on the New England Patriots.

Jeanne was predeceased in 2010 by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph M. Normandy, Jr. She was also predeceased by a granddaughter in 1981. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Grant, Katherine Hinman and her husband Richard of Longmeadow, Mass. and Jill Holliday of Harwich, Mass. and her son Joseph Normandy III; eight grandchildren, Allison, Joseph IV, Caitlin, Mallory, Emily, William, Andrew, and Katherine; and two great-grandchildren, Madeline and William.

Service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jeanne Normandy to Andover Senior Community Friends, Inc., PO Box 576, Andover, Mass. 01810.
