She was born in Lowell, on July 3, 1935, a daughter of the late Armand and Helen (Gagnon) McLaughlin. She attended Lowell schools, graduating from Lowell High School.
Before retiring, she was employed at the Mediplex Nursing Center in Lowell for more than 10 years.
Mrs. Saindon was an avid bingo player.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan H. Redican and her husband, Richard, of Dracut; a son, Thomas A. Saindon of Aliso-Viejo, Calif.; a grandson, Keith T. Redican of Dracut; two nephews; and a dear friend, Mary Casey of Lowell.

My husband, Frank, graduated with Joan, and I had the pleasure of attending Lowell Commercial College with her the following year. I have some pictures of her which I viewed today. What wonderful memories of a very nice person. Our prayers are with the family.
