He was born in Pittsford, Vt., on March 27, 1921, a son of the late Mary Rich and Henry Archambault. He resided in Pepperell during his youth.
Mr. Archambault served in the Navy during World War II and was aboard the USS Philadelphia, USS Potomac, USS Calypso and the USS John Rodgers. He was a charter member of Pepperell VFW.
He built and owned many businesses including, Archambault's Poultry Farm, Nancy Estates; a subdivision known as Irene Drive, Dan's Drive-In Restaurant also known as The Nest Family Restaurant, The Hatch Convenience Store, Alpine Grove Banquet and BBQ Facilities, and Alpine Ridge Golf Course, all in Hollis.
He is survived by his children, Susan Francis Hammond and her husband Carl W. Hammond Jr. of Lusby, Md., David Joseph Archambault of Weare, Bruce Edward Archambault, Alan Charles Archambault and his wife Peggy, Gary John Archambault and his wife Barbara, Mark Henry Archambault, Debbie Archambault and Ginette Hardy, all of Hollis, N.H.; his grandchildren, Carl W. Hammond III, Jesse, Sean, Ryan Patrick, Keith Michael, Patrick Jay, Philip Charles, Timothy Royce, Wanda Debra, Stephen Douglas, and Kris Mae, Archambault and April Hardy; his brothers, Henry Archambault Jr. of Morriston, Fla. and John E. Archambault of Sanford, Fla.
He was also the father of the late Nancy Irene (Archambault) Ratta, brother of the late Beatrice Hettinger and Marjorie Powers of Pepperell.
