TEWKSBURY -- Mr. Joseph B. Hines, age 42, a member of a well known Tewksbury family, died unexpectedly Thursday night, November 9, at Lowell General Hospital, from a heart attack.

He was born in Lowell, in March 1975, one of five children of Ambrose J. and Shirley A. (MacNeil) Hines and lived his entire life in Tewksbury. After graduation from Tewksbury Memorial High School, with the Class of 1994, he studied business at Northern Essex and Middlesex Community Colleges.

In recent years he spent many hours at his family owned business Patriot Frame and Auto in Tewksbury. Prior to that, he took great pride working as a line technician at Verizon for 14 years.

Joe was an active member of St. William's Parish community and worked along with his Dad erecting and maintaining the Church's Nativity Crèche during the Christmas season.

Joe was a member of Fr. Coppens Council 4336 - Knights of Columbus in Tewksbury and was an avid and enthusiastic fan of Boston's professional sports teams.

Besides his parents, with whom he resided, he leaves four siblings; Paula Dunn and her husband Jim and Carol Ann Drohan and her husband Rod all of Nova Scotia; Nancy Hynes and her husband Tim of Pepperell and Jason C. Hines of Tewksbury; nieces and nephews Patrick and Alex Dunn, Nicole and Jonathan Drohan, Phoebe Hynes, Emilie, Adam, Zachary, Samuel, Ethan and Maxwell Hines and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

HINES -- of Tewksbury, Nov. 9, Joseph B., age 42. Visiting hours Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm., in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts., (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950. His funeral will begin Wednesday at 10:30 am., from the funeral home followed by a funeral mass Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 11:30 am., in St. William's Church, 1351 Main St., (Rte. 38) Tewksbury. His final resting place will be in Nova Scotia, Canada.
