She was born in Lowell, on May 27, 1949, a daughter of Paulette (Plante) Boucher of Lowell and the late Raymond P. Boucher. She was educated in Lowell schools, and attended the Saints Memorial Medical Center School of Nursing.
Mrs. Dion worked in the surgical unit at Saints Memorial Medical Center.
She was a longtime communicant of St. Louis de France Church, and was active in the parish.
For more than 10 years, she served as a den leader for Cub Scout Pack 24. She was also a crossing guard in Lowell.
Besides her husband and mother, survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Philip P. and Emily Dion of Dracut, and Steven M. and Kevin R. Dion, both of Lowell; her mother-in-law, Doris Dion of Lowell; a brother, Mark L. Boucher of Epping, N.H.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda R. and Tom Lamarche of Ossipee, N.H., and Lorna and Michael Morgan of New York City; three grandchildren, Andrew, Caitlyn and Cody Dion; her sisters- and brothers-in-law, Jacqueline and Roger Breault of Bradenton, Fla., Robert D. and Annette Dion of Methuen, Janice and Roger Desrosiers of Hudson, Ann Marie and Steven Witing of Townsend, Paul and Cheryl Dion of Dracut and Mark and Carol Dion of Tyngsboro; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was also the daughter-in-law of the late Robert Dion.
