Kenneth Dauber Obituary

ANDOVER -- Kenneth L. Dauber, 74, a resident of Andover and a Korean War veteran, died Thursday, Jan. 4, at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

He was the husband of the late Barbara (Renninger) Dauber.

He was born and educated in Trout Run, Pa. He then moved to Massachusetts, and made his home in Andover.

Mr. Dauber served in the Navy during the Korean War. He received the China Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged.

Before retiring, Mr. Dauber was employed as a maintenance mechanic at Malden Mills in Lawrence.

After retiring, Mr. Dauber was a driver for the Andover Senior Center and Edgewood Retirement Center of North Andover.

He belonged to the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, Pa.

He loved playing golf and the card game 45's. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Penn State Nittany Lions.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, David W. and Debbie Dauber of Marlboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela S. and Kenneth Runge of Lawrence, and Jennifer L. Dauber and her fiancé, Mark C. Barron of Windham, N.H.; four grandchildren, Amy Ford, Matthew Dauber, Ashley Dauber, and Ryan Runge; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Cole Ford.

He is also survived by a brother, Robert Dauber of Williamsport, Pa.; a sister, Charlotte Holtzapple of Lewisburg, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also the brother of the late Niel, Richard, Doyle, Jackie and Charles Dauber, Bette Forma, Ruth Aderhold and Nora Belle Zimmer.
