LITTLETON -- Kenneth J. Rood, 78 of Littleton, died in December 25, 2015 at Life Care Center of Acton. He was born in Waltham on November 18, 1937 son of James and Barbara (Waugh) Rood. He grew up in Auburndale and later moved to Littleton over 50 years ago. Ken served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1962. He then worked at the Littleton Egg Receiving Station for 10 years and then Acton Boxborough Jr. High School as a Custodian for 26 years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and yard work and enjoyed Boston Sports including Patriots and Red Sox.
Mr. Rood is survived by his wife of 35 years, Phyllis (Sullivan) Rood of Littleton, a daughter Denise Moniz of Littleton, 2 grandchildren John Moniz of Worcester and Matthew Moniz of Littleton, and a sister Beverly Zechello of California. She was also the sister of the late Audrey Moreau.
ROOD -- Funeral Service will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton on Thursday at 10 am. Visiting Hours will be Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Burial at Westlawn Cemetery, Littleton. Please see www.badgerfuneral.com.

To Mr. Roods family, you have my heart felt sympathy. I never met you but know you thru John Moniz, he talked about his Paps all the time and loves you so very much.
