N. CHELMSFORD, MA -- Mrs. Lorraine "Lorrie" T. (Boucher) Proulx, 85, a life-long resident of N. Chelmsford, MA, died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at the Town and Country Nursing Home in Lowell, after a short illness.

She was married to Mr. Richard Proulx with whom she would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on October 22, 2014.

Born in N. Chelmsford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Mary Boucher. She graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1947.

Lorraine retired from Lorrie's Beauty Shop of N. Chelmsford in 1979, of which she was the owner and operator. Prior to owning her own salon, she worked at Annabelle Hair Salon in Lowell.

She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford, MA.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed ceramics, knitting, crocheting, and bingo.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sisters-in-law, Blanche Furness and her husband, Reginald of N. Chelmsford, MA, and Ruth Proulx of Dracut, MA; a brother-in-law, Roger Proulx of Dracut, MA; a cousin, Rita Duffin of Pepperell, MA; and a cousin-in-law, Shirley Desilets of Chelmsford, MA; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Irene Foster of N. Chelmsford, MA who died May 8, 2014.
