Marybeth and family,

So sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. Reading all that he contributed to and recognizing his legacy is remarkable. He truly demonstrated through his actions to be a great man and a great leader. He helped so many through his vocation and contributed immensely to his community.

All the best during difficult time. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Take solace through all that will be reaching out to you and the Fleming family.

Brendon Fleming, Rest in Peace, God Bless.

To all of the Flemings, I have fond memories of our parents over the years. Your dad was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge and of Lowell's history. His was a charitable life of giving to his family, his friends, his church, and his community. He championed Lowell in the crucial years of its reincarnation and historians will undoubtedly give him much credit. He brought professionalism and grace to the City Council and to the office of the Mayor. He was kind and compassionate, especially to those with whom he disagreed, and always seemed to keep things light. He helped me immensely with my own research on Lowell, pointing me in the right direction of the vital questions and research materials. Many thanks to the Fleming family for sharing your dad with all his students and with the people of Lowell. He left a wonderful and indelible footprint on the city. I have no doubt our parents are happy in heaven together in the arms of the Lord. My condolences, Maura Doherty
