He was born in Cleveland on March 19, 1961, a son of Helga P. (Diehl) Morgenstern of Seabrook and the late Ludwig A. Morgenstern.
In 1979, he graduated from Triton Regional High School in Byfield, Mass., and later graduated from East Coast Aeronautical Technical Institute in Lexington, Mass. Before moving to Hampton three years ago, he lived in South Hampton.
Mr. Morgenstern was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
For 21 years, he was employed as an aircraft mechanic with United Airlines, working out of San Francisco International Airport, Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. and Logan International Airport in Boston.
For the past year, he was a maintenance manager with American Eagle Airlines at Logan Airport.He served on the Safety Council at the Massachusetts Port Authority in Boston.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Katherine L. Morgenstern, Amanda M. Morgenstern, both of Hampton; the mother of his daughters, Barbara J. Morgenstern of Newbury, Mass.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Charles D. and Leslie Morgenstern of Winchester, Va., Thomas L. Morgenstern of Hampton, and Richard E. and Heidi Morgenstern of Kingston, N.H. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.

Shelagh,I want to say how sorry I am to hear of Pauls passing.I knew Paul for many years,having worked for United Airlines also.He always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor.He will be sorely missed.Ipray that God will watch over you and comfort you in these sorrowful times.

In my thoughts, Paul's happiness was brightest when he was thinking and talking about his greatest joys - his brothers, his parents, his sweet daughters and his life with Shelagh. Fred, Allyn and I send our love to Paul's loved ones. He is forever a very special and dear man.
